I’ve just stumbled upon Microsoft’s new Expression product family. I actually followed a link from a Forever Geek post about the new Microsoft favicon and noticed the announcement on MS’ front page. And, while we’re at it, I’ve read the FG post via RSS in Mozilla Thunderbird (with a little bit of Forumzilla help).
Fun. But I’m not sure if I like the new Microsoft favicon…
There are 3 products in the Expression family: Graphic, Interactive and Web — all Designers. You can watch a short (~3 min) video presentation of the products when you click on “See it in action” yellow button (up right, can’t miss it), or just follow this link. I’ll know what I think of the suite when I try it out, but I don’t understand why I have to uninstall Office 2007 Beta before installing any of the Expression products. What if I won’t like it? Uninstall E and reinstall MSO2K7b? Pain in the ass.
So, like, you know, I’m downloading one beta and two customer technology previews, hoping it’s not a total waste of time. Can Microsoft really top the CS2+Dreamweaver 8 combo?
Comments are welcome.
